FG580 Wired Eight-Zone Water Alarm and Detection Console. The FG580 provides an internal alarm buzzer with a silence switch, and eight LEDs on the console to identify the sensor causing the alarm.
The FG580 can be used as a stand-alone water alarm system with the addition of an FG589 Power Transformer, or the FG580 can be powered from and connected to the FG500 Water Sensor Interface Controller to shut-off your water automatically, in case any leaks are detected.
As many as eight Supervised Sensors can be run up to 500 feet away (or 16 non-supervised sensors). Four FG586 Supervised Water Sensors are included with the FG580.
Each sensor probe has two contacts. When a film of water forms a bridge between these contacts, the unit senses this and triggers the alarm output. The sensor will not alarm due to condensation or high humidity.

The Extra Sensors that work with this console are shown below.
The FG580 comes with four FG 586 Supervised Water Sensors. You can add up to 4 additional supervised water sensors (sold separately), or 8 non-supervised additional water sensors.
The FG580 is easily mounted on a wall above the sensors with wires going to the sensors. The water sensors are built to minimize false alerts by not triggering from condensation or high humidity.
The Supervised Sensors FG586 and FG587 allow the FG580 to monitor the condition of the wire and sensor for alarm conditions such as water leaks. The FG521, FG522, FG523 are non-supervised sensors. They may be used with the FG580, but the alarm and LED status lights will not be functional. Use the FG586, or FG587 Supervised Sensors to take advantage of all the benefits offered by the FG580.
This is a wired sensor system. If you connect this to your water system, you will need to run a 4-wire 18 AWG cable (one 150 ft. cable is provided with the FG500) from the FG500 Water Controller to the FG580 Console to connect power, and the sensor alert to your water shut-off system.
If you intend to use this as a stand-alone water alarm system, you will need to order the FG589 power transformer to power the FG580
