This outdoor lighting switch is ideal switch to control outdoor, plug-in electrical devices. It can be controlled from your Home Automation Computer, and turned on, and off, by different events, like sunrise, and sunset, or at bedtime when your away.

Since it is an On-Off type of switch it can use both the older incandescent bulbs, the newer flourescent bulbs, as well as your spotlights.

For convenience, it has a manual override button on the switch, in case your outside, and want to turn the switch on, or off, without going back inside.

This switch is made to be plugged into your outdoor electrical outlets. If you currently are using your outdoor outlets to plug in any outside electrical devices, like a sprinkler system timer, you can control these devices wirelessly from your home automation computer.

Needless to say, if you have outdoor spotlights, for example, that are wired internally, and not plugged-in; this switch would not be able to control those devices.

This has a short six foot cord so it will remain close to your outdoor outlets.
