The PW810 offers 810 watts of advanced, intelligent power conditioning, power management, and battery backup. This will meet the most intensive computing demands of any of our Refined Automation Computers, or your current home computer, and it is our recommended power conditioning, and battery backup solution for all home owners.
The PW810 UPS, Uninterrupted Power Supply, features dynamic line conditioning, guards against surges and spikes, and offers battery backup in the event of brownouts, or total power loss. Automatic Voltage Regulation ensures that all your electronics are receiving clean power, and stabilizes the voltage to a nominal 120VAC.
The PW810 has an Intelligent LCD diagnostic display. Real-time system information can be viewed from the LCD display on the PW180. In addition, PowerPanel PE ™ Management Software, running on your computer, and connected to the PW180 through a USB or Com port, automatically saves and closes open files, and shuts down your computer system in an intelligent and orderly manner in case of power loss.
The PW810 is equipped with full data line protection: RJ11/RJ45 (phone, fax, Ethernet, network, DSL) and RG-6 coax (DSS, cable modem, satellite, cable TV). THe four “Surge-Only” outlets are perfect for the addition of peripherals such as monitors, printers, scanners, iPods, or CD/DVD players that don't require orderly shut down, but do benefit from conditioned power lines, and four UPS uninterrupted power lines for orderly shut down of computers and peripherals with stored data and hard drives.
RAID Arrays especially require good power conditioning and UPS power protection to ensure orderly shut down of disk drives. Because of this, we include a PW180 with our Refined AutomationVault
and Master
VRAID 5 computers. We highly recommend the PW180, if you do not yet have a UPS or Power Conditioner for your home electronics.
Intelligent LCD Diagnostic Display: The innovative front panel LCD can be used to display detailed information on the status of your UPS and current power conditions. The LCD displays 11 different diagnostics: Input voltage level, Output voltage level, Automatic voltage regulator, Battery capacity, Runtime estimate, Load level, Output frequency, On battery, Overload, Fault Condition, and Silent mode.
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR): Incoming AC power is electronically regulated for dips and spikes. AVR takes incoming irregular AC power and converts it into a consistent Sine wave, so sensitive electronic equipment can achieve optimal performance.
EMI/RFI Protection: provides shielding against electromagnetic interference & radio frequency signals. Most commonly, this is used to prevent line noise or “humming” that occurs over telephone lines or stereo electronics.
Transformer-spaced Outlets: Widely spaced outlets allow you to conveniently add large transformer-based plugs without compromising the utility of other outlets.
USB Connectivity: A USB port enables full integration with included computer power management software and the auto shutdown features of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.
PowerPanel PE ™ Smart Management Software: In event of a power outage, PowerPanel PE saves your open files and will “Hibernate” your PC to increase the run-time on the UPS unit. PowerPanel is quickly and easily installed on any Windows-based PC, and is designed to utilize minimal system resources. Diagnostic screens give immediate visuals of the UPS’s status, and also include the following features: Silent operation mode to configure audible alarms, configurable system notifications, automatic self tests, adjustable high/low voltage warnings, event/data logging, and scheduled shutdowns.
Other Features:
LED Indicators: LED status lights indicate Power-On and wiring faults.
Optional Audible Alarms: Audible tones identify when the unit is running off battery power, unit overloads, and low battery.
Resettable Circuit Breaker: Convenient unit reset switch in case of an overload.
3-year Warranty - Manufacturer will replace damaged units if within 3 years of purchase date.
Windows Vista ™ Compliant: The Power Management software has been fully tested and is compliant with Windows 9x, 200x, Server, XP, and Vista.

The PW810 is included with our "Vault" and "Master" Home Automation Computers.
The PW810 Intelligent Power Conditioning and Battery BackUp is designed to deliver clean power to your computer, and have enough battery power to turn your computer off in an orderly manner in case of a power failure. Don't expect to keep on working when the power fails. Uninterrupted continuous power is attainable, hospitals have them installed, and they run off of diesel engines. This is not practical for the average home. Best to make sure you shut down in an orderly manner until power is restored, and protect yourself from power surges as the power is restored. The PW810 does this admirably, and is highly recommended.
