Locate Tags can be attached to any children, adults, pets, or possessions that you would like to locate. Find lost items quickly. Simply attach the tag to whatever you want to find, pull out your handy Locator, and presto, you can quickly walk to within one inch of the tag.

Each tag has two small watch batteries that power a radio signal when activated by the Loc8tor, which lets the Locator know where it is. In addition, to help you in your search, the tag itself audibly beeps and a small LED light flashes, while you are searching with the Locator.

The tags are small, and extremely light in weight. They are easily attached to cat collars by many cat owners to locate their cats, or in the cases, where the cat gets out of the collar, the lost collar itself. ;-)

The Locate Tag can be quickly linked to a Loc8tor, and works with all three of the Locator devices: Locator Lite, and Locator Plus.

Registering a Locate Tag to a Locator takes seconds, creating a unique link between the Locator and the Tag. The Tags have been designed so that no other Locator user can accidentally find your tags, letting you have multiple Locators in one location, one for each adult in your home, for example.

The tags are not waterproof, or water resistant. If you believe that they might get wet, you can seal them in a plastic baggie, or with a little clear silicon like you use around your bathroom tub, and they will work just fine.

Range is highly variable. The 600 feet maximum range is based on clear line of sight from the Loc8tor to the Tag. The radio signal goes through clothes, plants, trees, walls, and floors easily, a metal shield might be a bit of a problem. The range will vary depending on your use, and the environment at your location.

A disclaimer from the manufacturer. "Locator mode has been designed to help find your possessions. It should not be relied on to find people." Finding something that is moving around is a bit harder, than something that is stationary.
